Dar Al Murabiteen Publications presents
Tahdia’ah (Tahdia’ah (Calm)) in Islam, its Conditions and Limits Abu Yunus Al Abbasi
Praise is to Allah who has made adherence to His religion an honor and complying completely with Tawheed a condition, and bearing harm in His way a sign of truthfulness and piety and disbelief in the unbelievers an obligation. We bear witness that there is no god but Allah, the one and only, and that those who sell themselves and their money to Him have succeeded, and peace and blessings on our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who never went into rage except if the rights of Allah are violated
What is the meaning of Tahdia’ah (Calm)? Break in fighting or leaving aside war, for a period of time between two warring groups
Tahdia’ah (Calm) is the Islamic name given (according to the Hadeeth) to what is called by the scholars of Fiqh as cease fire. It is best to discuss matters using their islamic contexts as it would properly reveal our Islamic identity as well as our pride in this identity, furthurmore it will show clear signs of adherence
What is the ruling of Tahdia’ah (Calm)?
Tahdia’ah (Calm) is permissible as per the consensus of the Muslims with its Sharii rules, and thus it is mandatory on the Muslim to verify his matters by referring back to the Sharia, as the one who is not ruled by Sharia in his matters is not a believer in Allah, nor the Day of Judgment, Allah the Almighty says
“O you who believe! obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority from among you; then if you quarrel about anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the last day; this is better and very good in the end. ” (Nisa 59)
However if the Arab organizations wish to carry out such pacts their references are their own whims and interests of kins and money. As for the Palestinians, their references in such pacts includes what’s mentioned earlier along with the agreement of the various Palestinian groups. If the groups agree, then the truce done, and if they do not then there is no pact. So our references today have become national and tribal and not the methodology of Allah, the Almighty. Allah the Almighty says
"And when there comes to them news of security or fear they spread it abroad; and if they had referred it to the Messenger and to those in authority among them, those among them who can search out the knowledge of it would have known it, and were it not for the grace of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have certainly followed the Shaitan save a few" (Nisa 83)
Did the Prophet make pacts with the unbelievers? Yes, and its greatest example is what happened in the pact of Hudaibiyah, and the pact of Bani Madlaj, and his pact with Bani Dumrah
And the Prophet (peace be upon him) made a pact with the Jews of Khaibar, that they would work on the open farms, and get 1/2 the share of the produce, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) and those who succeeded him could expel them whenever they saw fit
So these are his pacts (peace be upon him) listed out in the books of Seerah, so where are those who would study their Fiqh and follow their rules in their pacts? Instead of what we see of apparent deviation like that of the stray camel, concerning these matters by the globalists and those who wear the cloak of Islam from the Islamists, Allah the Almighty says
"Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent exemplar for him who hopes in Allah and the latter day and remembers Allah much." (Al Ahzab 21)
What is the relation between Tahdia’ah (Calm) and interests?
And before describing the relation between Tahdia’ah (Calm) and interests we must know what interests actually are …
TO BE CONTINUED INSHAALLAH...
